Female ‘Separatist’ Wears Looted Makeup From MH 17, Proudly Posts Selfies On Instagram

A pro-Russian female “separatist” is wearing looted makeup from MH 17, the Malaysia Airlines that was was shot down by a Buk missile on July 17. The young woman snapped selfies wearing looted mascara and proudly posted them on Instagram. She’s identified as Ekaterina Parkhomenko from Torez, the eastern city in the Donetsk province of eastern Ukraine.

Australian Times cites uainfo.org as the source that first reported on this disturbing news story, which must be translated from its foreign language in print.

The woman wearing the allegedly stolen mascara from the MH17 disaster, had the Instagram name of “zolotsoya.” The account has been suspended.

She captioned her photos with:

“Mascara from Amsterdam, or rather from the field. Well, I think you know what I mean.”

Ekaterina shares that she didn’t actually steal the makeup herself at the crash site, but got it “from a familiar friend.”

She adds in an Instagram post:

“An acquaintance of mine, a looter, gave it to me.”

The pro-Russian separatist isn’t holding back her strong dislike of her native Ukraine. She boldly announces:

“I am just sick of all this Ukrainian stuff. Sick and terribly furious.”

People referred to her antics on Instagram as “disgusting and horrific.” The woman got a lot of backlash for posting photos of herself wearing stolen makeup from the Malaysia Airlines crash. Heavy looting followed just a day or so after the plane was downed by a surface-to-air missile believed to be launched by pro-Russian rebels. The passenger plane was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur; it lost contact in Donetsk near the village Hrabove. It was about 31 miles from the Russian-Ukraine border and the it crashed near Torez, killing all 298 passengers.

Recovery efforts after the crash proved to be a global nightmare and a tortuous time for the victims’ families. Bodies remained on the ground exposed to the heat and the disaster area was never sealed off. International inspectors weren’t allowed into the rebel-controlled territory for several days. Civilians often helped in recovery efforts, and passengers’ personal belongings were stolen.

Several bodies have been returned to the Netherlands and some on their way to Australia. More remains are being discovered as expert officials comb through debris. Earlier this week it was learned that half of the cockpit was sawed in half. Despite all that’s left behind at the crash site still to investigate, a lot of evidence has been tampered with.

In the middle of the tragedy, a female “separatist” posts selfies wearing looted makeup from MH 17. Can it get much worse?
