Justin Timberlake: Singer’s Website, Twitter Account Hacked By ‘Ethical Dragon’

Justin Timberlake is among a handful of celebrities whose websites were reportedly hacked this week by someone operating under the name “Ethical Dragon.”

Although everything is back in working order as of this writing, that apparently wasn’t the case on Thursday evening (July 17). According to Classicalite, Timberlake’s website was effectively shut down for a short period of time. Instead of simply bringing down the site, the hacker known as Ethical Dragon left behind a calling card.

“Hacked by Ethical Dragon. Don’t ignore my emails,” the website read. The hacker also left Justin an email address in case he wanted “more security.”

HLN reports that Justin Timberlake’s website was down and out until around 9 am on Friday (July 18). Although the news outlet attempted to reach Timberlake’s handlers for comment, they’ve yet to release a statement about the matter.

However, Ethical Dragon didn’t have any trouble discussing the matter with the general public. In addition leaving his or her mark on Timberlake’s website, the hacker also announced that Beyonce’s site was breached on Thursday evening. Once again, details about the situation are few and far between at the moment.

The hacker also took responsibility for Justin Timberlake’s woes.

Apparently former Fear Factor host Joe Rogan was also a victim of Dragon’s recent shenanigans. Since Rogan doesn’t generate nearly as many headlines as Timberlake and Beyonce, this didn’t get nearly as much attention as the others.

Unfortunately for Justin Timberlake, his website wasn’t the only thing compromised this week. The individual responsible for temporarily bringing down his site also gained access to his official Twitter account. Although the evidence has since vanished from the singer’s feed, an eagle-eyed Reddit user was able to snag a screenshot of the invasion.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Justin Timberlake has fallen prey to a hacker. When Mila Kunis’ phone was digitally cracked wide open back in 2011, text messages and photos of the singer with panties on his head reportedly found their way into the world. Of course, both parties denied that anything of the sort went down.

Here’s what TMZ said at the time:

“Four pictures have been leaked, including two which show Justin — one, laying shirtless in a bed, and another in which J.T. is jokingly sporting a pair of pink panties over his head. Kunis is not featured in either of the pics. There’s another photo of Mila in a bathtub, but all you see is her head. And then there’s another photo of a male which is explicit in nature, although his identity is a mystery.”

Why do you think someone felt the need to hack Justin Timberlake’s website?
