Brody Jenner Responds: Reggie Bush’s Wedding Had Nothing To Do With Kim Kardashian

Brody Jenner has a simple explanation as to why he went to Reggie Bush’s wedding and not Kim Kardashian’s: geography. “Kim’s was in Paris. I was working. Kim’s was in Paris—it’s as simple as that,” US Magazine reports.

Jenner spoke to media at an event Monday night where he was also acting as a D.J.

The controversy was not just that Brody attended the wedding of one of Kim Kardashian’s most famous former flames this weekend — she and Bush dated on-and-off for about three years before calling it quits in 2010 — but that Jenner also skipped Kim’s lavish wedding to Kanye West earlier this year.

Brody has a reason for that, too, according to People:

I simply had a very last-minute thing. They didn’t want to let people know about their wedding early in advance, and I had already booked gigs in Chicago and some other places, so I was already working.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Brody attended Bush’s marriage to Lilit Avagyan and was not shy about letting people know he was there – he even posted a pic on Instagram of himself and his companion, girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter, posing with the newly-hitched couple. Avagyan and Bush have a child together, who was born one month before Kim Kardashian had her daughter North last year.

Jenner responded dismissively to the negative talk and emphasized his relationship with Reggie:

It’s kinda ridiculous that everybody’s making such a big deal out of it. Reggie’s been a friend of mine for a very long time so I went to his wedding. It’s all good.

Family drama seems to follow the Kardashian-Jenner clan, as the large blended family often includes interpersonal conflicts in the plotlines of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Brody’s father Bruce Jenner and Kim’s mother Kris Jenner announced their separation last fall, although the two are still married.

Brody, however, made it clear this week that he still considers Kim to be family. He further denied reports that she had an issue with his girlfriend and would not have wanted her at her European nuptials:

Of course Kim would let me bring my girlfriend if I wanted to. I’m her brother – it’s her wedding. I am allowed to bring someone if I want to.

In fact, Brody even credits Kim for strengthening his and Reggie’s friendship – he told People: “I got to have a really close relationship with him through him and Kim being together.”
