Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott Marriage Update: ‘We’re Working On Things,’ Tori Says
What is the latest on the state of Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s marriage? Tori and Dean showcased their marriage woes in front of cameras during the recent reality TV show True Tori, and now fans are curious how things have been going since then. Spelling chatted with Us Weekly at this week’s Television Critics Association tour and it sounds as if the couple is working on staying together.
Spelling says, “We’re definitely committed to being a family.” She adds, “We’re working on things.” Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s marriage was rocked about six months ago when the world discovered that he had cheated on her while he was working in Toronto.
The last viewers saw on True Tori, things were still rocky in Dean and Tori’s relationship. Now Tori says that family comes first and things are getting a bit better for the couple. She also said that they will “for sure” continue therapy sessions together. Fans are hopeful they will follow through on that front, as it seems a much-needed path for the couple to follow for the sake of their four children together.
In the midst of all of the cheating and relationship troubles, Spelling has thrown herself back into acting. Though Tori has a number of reality TV shows under her belt now, many of them done with Dean, this time she is reuniting with former 90210 co-star Jennie Garth for the ABC Family show Mystery Girls. Spelling says that it has been exhausting, but “I love every second of it.”
In what many would deem a definite statement regarding the state of her union, Tori was spotted by photographers this week with a handbag that had “Mrs. McDermott” embroidered on it. Mail Online shares the photos, and it hardly seems like a coincidence that she had the bag and that the bag happened to be front-and-center for the cameras. At least for now, it seems she is sending a message that she is sticking with her husband.
Can Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s marriage really be saved? The actress has seemed frazzled and fragile in the months since the scandal broke, and it has clearly taken a toll on Dean as well. As True Tori aired, many rumors swirled and it seems few viewers necessarily thought the two would make it through the drama as a united couple. At this point, however, it does seem as if they are working on moving forward and staying together.
