Cameron Diaz And Drew Barrymore Hook-Up Rumors: ‘Sex Tape’ Actress Denies Buzz About Bestie
Have mega-stars Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore hooked-up with one another in a romantic sense? That is what some fans of the famous besties theorized after a very telling Diaz appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen recently. Now, however, Cameron is trying to set the record straight regarding that particular rumor.
During a recent WWHL appearance, Cohen asked Diaz if she has ever been with a woman, and she replied that she has. That immediately got tongues wagging with a lot of speculation on just who the lady partner may have been. Cameron and Drew have been close friends for years, so many wondered if the two had hooked up and taken their friendship to another level. Diaz never said what she meant by the comment, how long ago these racy things may have transpired or how often things may have happened, but fans are speculating anyway.
However, Huffington Post shares that the speculated Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore hook-up did not happen. Diaz is on the new cover of Harper’sBazaar, and she tries to make it quite clear that she sees Drew as a sister, not a hook-up partner. In fact, Diaz is said to explain in the interview that the idea of being with Drew in that sense “makes me want to vomit in my mouth.” Cameron is always known for saying whatever comes to her mind so of course she took it one step further and added, “I wouldn’t even ménage with her!”
So just which lady has Diaz gotten together with in a romantic way in the past? She still isn’t telling, but many people are still trying to guess. It seems that Cameron doesn’t really care all that much, either. She says, “I’m not going to tell people what I’ve done, but I’m also not going to say, ‘No! I would never!'” Diaz also said that she doesn’t pay attention to the speculation, for the most part, and that people “like to put a label on something that they don’t understand.”
Cameron may not pay too much attention to the speculation, but it seems she caught wind of enough of it to clarify that bestie Drew was not the woman she referenced in the Watch What Happens Live chat. Cameron’s movie Sex Tape with Jason Segel opens this weekend, and in December, the Annie remake she did with Quvenzhané Wallis premieres. Cameron Diaz is doing plenty of media with the movies set to open, so goodness only knows what juicy tidbits she will reveal next.
