Beyoncé Knowles Calls Out Cheating Jay Z?
Beyoncé Knowles is the singer behind some of the most well-known lyrics in today’s pop and R&B, but she may be changing them around to get revenge.
Beyoncé has been married to rapper-producer Jay-Z since 2002 and together they parent 2-year old Blue Ivy Carter. According to OK Magazine, Knowles and Jay-Z are also expecting another baby. Rumors of Jay’s unfaithfulness have been circulating practically since their relationship began. These speculations have been at an all-time high, especially after Knowles’s sister Solange and Jay-Z had their now-infamous elevator incident.
Beyoncé and Jay are currently touring together under the tour name “On the Run,” named after a track from Jay’s Magna Carta Holy Grail. National Post reports that the tour features about 44 songs, 15 to 18 outfits per performer, and two enormous LED screens.
According to People, at a Cincinnati concert on June 28, while wearing a wedding gown and veil, Beyoncé sang different lyrics to her 2006 single “Resentment,” a spiteful ballad about infidelity. Instead of “Been ridin’ with you for six years,” Beyoncé sang “twelve years,” which seems to be a reference to her twelve years of marriage with Jay-Z. Knowles reportedly added onto the lyric “I gotta look at her in the eyes and see she’s had half of me,” extending it with, “She ain’t even half of me. That b*tch will never be.”
A video of the performance surfaced on YouTube, but has since been taken down.
MTV reports that “speculators should also consider that the couple’s On The Run tour is also a narrative-based experience and maybe, just maybe it’s all part of the show.” In other words, they’re coming up with a fictional story to base their tour around. This seems a little far-fetched, but is not unheard of within the pop music circuit.
The Knowles family has been racking up a lot of headlines lately, what with Beyoncé’s surprise album drop and the aforementioned elevator fight. Among the latest, according to New York Daily News, is that apparently Solange and Beyoncé may even have another sister. This is the second time that Matthew Knowles has been accused in a paternity suit.
