Obama Meets Supporter In Horse Mask, Gets Offered Pot During Seattle Visit

President Obama came face-to-snout with a horse mask wearing man during a trip to Denver, but amazingly that wasn’t even the strangest thing that happened during his meet and greet.

Obama was in Denver shaking hands with people in a crowd when he came across a supporter wearing a brown horse mask.

Obama recoiled a bit as he saw the horse mask, and someone snapped a picture at just the right moment, creating an instantly viral image.

Naturally, the jokes followed:

Others took some liberties with the Obama horse mask photo.

Believe it or not, things actually got odder from there. Someone in the crowd offered Barack Obama to take a hit of marijuana, which as of this week is now for sale for recreational use in Washington state.

The man, who identified himself on Instagram as Matt Anton, offered the bag of pot and asked the leader of the free world, “Do you want to hit this?”

Obama declined, though he has admitted to smoking pot during his college years. He’s also offered a bit of support for the legalization of marijuana.

Earlier this year he told the New Yorker that marijuana is no more dangerous than alcohol, and said he was in favor of lessening criminal penalties for it.

“We should not be locking up kids or individual users for long stretches of jail time when some of the folks who are writing those laws have probably done the same thing,” Obama said.

It’s definitely a strange day when President Obama shaking hands with a guy in a horse mask isn’t even the craziest thing that happens to him.
