Kate Gosselin Tells Nannies To Listen In On Phone Convos Between Kids And Jon Gosselin?
Kate Gosselin has been in the news a lot lately, thanks in part to her show, Kate Plus 8, getting a reboot of sorts on TLC. While many Kate fans were excited to catch up with the Gosselin kids, there was bound to be some negative press, and so, here it is. According to Radar Online, Kate has reportedly required her kids’ nanny to “spy” on her children whenever they are on the phone with their estranged father, Jon Gosselin.
Apparently there is some “secret babysitter rule book” that Kate wrote for anyone who cares for her eight kids. Inside it allegedly reads:
“ALWAYS listen with one ear to hear what they are saying. You are always my eyes and ears and need to report everything you see and hear!!!”
According to the report, Kate Gosselin also limits the amount of time her kids spend on the phone with their father:
“They may call their dad when they ask permission using the house phone only. You do not have to grant permission if you are busy or the schedule doesn’t allow it (example: dinner time, shower time, bed time, room cleaning time, or homework time). Please keep a listening ear open and have them stand nearby.”
While this does sound like something Kate would say, it seems a bit illogical for her to have something like this in writing. If one of her eight kids — Cara and Maddie, 13, and sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis, and Hannah, 10 — want to call their dad for any reason at any time, that should be allowed to, don’t you think? Would Kate actually tell her kids that they aren’t allowed to call their dad? Kate haters would say that this is something right up Kate’s alley, while supporters would agree that this “rule book” (presuming that it does exist) is being taken out of context.
Kate Gosselin might be afraid that her ex-husband will say something inappropriate or plan something behind her back. As a mother, Kate has a right to know everything that goes on with her children — and everything that is said to them.
There will always be “the great Kate debate” when it comes to the reality star and what she is really trying to accomplish by having her kids on television. According to The Guardian Liberty Voice, Kate’s return to television (she will also be on the new season of Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice airing in the fall) has been controversial to say the least. However, Kate feels that she is doing whatever she can to raise her kids and give them a good life. She has it hard (via The Inquisitr) but she won’t hide in the basement of her home and weep in the dark by herself everyday. She’s a go-getter — and she doesn’t let the haters get in the way of the life she is determined to live.
