WWE News: Huge Update On Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return, Which Events Will He Work?

At WrestleMania 30, Brock Lesnar conquered the most famous streak in WWE history and the entire professional wrestling industry. He defeated the Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak. Hasn’t Paul Heyman told you that before?

The big question always came down to Lesnar’s willingness to work dates after the historic night took place. It’s well known that the South Dakota-native only works a few pay-per-view dates a year. Since conquering the streak, WWE has seriously considered Lesnar winning the WWE World Heavyweight championship and running with it until WrestleMania 31. News broke about Lesnar’s return schedule to WWE and what it entails.

“According to The Wrestling Observer, the plan remains for Brock Lesnar to win the WWE World Title at some point, and there has been talk of him defending the title against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31.

“We have also confirmed that Lesnar will be working SummerSlam this year (where he will likely win the title) and the Night of Champions PPV which follows SummerSlam.”

The report goes on to say that Lesnar is the true “plan B” that Triple H was referring to last week on Monday Night Raw and not Seth Rollins cash-in of his Money in the Bank briefcase.

If he does carry the WWE World Heavyweight championship, that means Heyman may have to switch his duties from Cesaro to Lesnar, and work many more dates than just two a year. Lesnar may be willing to do so, but that will ultimately come down to the right scenario and how much more money will be on the table.

Rumor has it that Reigns will replace John Cena as the face of the company. Reigns has the look, build, popularity, and wrestling skills to do so. Nothing would be better than conquering Lesnar’s run as the champion than to end it himself. If the WWE Universe wants a massive moment at WrestleMania 31, Reigns winning the belt is it.

Expect the fans to bark about the possibility of Lesnar winning the title, but it is “best for business.” Right now, the Beast Incarnate is the hated man in wrestling. The fans at WrestleMania 30 spoke for themselves. Kids were crying, adults left the building, and this man became the most popular wrestling mark in the world.

WWE still has time to build up Reigns as a powerhouse and championship-caliber wrestler. He will be competing in the main event again at Battleground for the WWE World Heavyweight championship. As soon as Triple H calls upon the Beast when he initiates his “plan B,” the two worlds will collide for an epic showdown at SummerSlam.
