12 Siblings Of ‘The Willis Clan’ Astound America With Their Talent And Faith [Video]

The Willis Clan recently appeared on America’s Got Talent and won the hearts of millions. The 12-sibling musical group calls themselves “The Willis Clan,” because their last name is Willis. Americans, especially Illinoisans, may remember their family name. The Willis family was struck with tragedy in 1994 that broke the hearts of Americans. Scott and Janet Willis, grandparents to the 12 siblings who make up The Willis Clan, were driving down I-94 when a horrific accident stole the lives of their six youngest children. The grandparents to the endearing Willis Clan said in their grief that God took his children home to him and tried to be thankful for the blessings in their lives and the opportunity they did have to spend with their six youngest children. They raised the remaining three children in that same faith.

The Willis Clan were also raised to have a deep faith in God, though you might never know it. The musical group is not flamboyant in their religious beliefs, but their connection to God is strong. They were raised aware that their family members and their very lives are a blessing and act accordingly.

The Willis Clan’s mother, Brenda Willis, told The Journal Sentinel, “Eight years ago, our house burned down to the ground. It was a total loss. I just held my kids and said, ‘Thank you, God.’ It gave me a different perspective on life, in comparison to my in-law’s tragedy. When you go through hard things like that it strengthens you.” The Willis family’s children consist of four boys and eight girls. By age, starting with the eldest child, they introduce themselves to America’s Got Talent‘s judges: Jessica, Jeremiah, Jennifer, Jeanette, Jackson, Jedi, Jasmine, Juliette, Jaime, Joy Anna, Jaeger, and Jada. The children are home-schooled, which allows them to work together on the Willis Clan’s heart-warming musical endeavors.
