Avril Lavigne Hospitalized While On Tour


Avril Lavigne has had a rough few days, resulting in her having to cancel a concert appearance due to health issues. The Canadian singer was scheduled to open for The Backstreet Boys on June 6 in Oklahoma City according to a concert review published by Antiquiet.

The Examiner reported that the singer was scheduled to appear at Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy Arena, but had to cancel last minute due to a sudden illness which resulted in her hospitalization. The singer took to her Twitter account to break the bad news:

Fans were understandably upset over the last minute cancellation, but that didn’t stop them from sending Avril their love. Just check out the Twitter response for yourself:

All the get well tweets must have worked their magic! The next day, Avril Lavigne posted to her fans that she was feeling better and was ready to rock out with her Kansas City fans. The concert seemed to go well enough considering she posted a follow up tweet to her fans:

There have been no reports as to what Avril Lavigne’s mystery illness was, but some have began to suspect stress as the culprit. Avril’s had a very busy touring schedule for the past few months, and she won’t be slowing down any time soon. The Canadian singer is scheduled to perform in Chicago, Illinois on Wednesday, June 11 before moving on to Indiana, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, New York, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.

Regardless of the mystery illness, fans were glad to see Avril Lavigne back on her feet.
