Former boxing champion “Sugar” Shane Mosely will have to give up his prized title belts as part of a divorce settlement.

According to a report by TMZ, 39-year-old Shane and his now ex-wife Jin Mosley came to terms on a divorce settlement that included her receiving all three of the former WBA Welterweight Super Champion’s prized title belts. However, the belts will only belong to her until their three kids turn 18, at which point the former Mrs. Mosley will then have to turn over ownership to the children.

In addition to taking custody of the Californian’s prize belts, Mosley’s wife will also be entitled to half of Shane’s assets and earnings – everything from fight profits to credit card points – acquired during the period in which they were married.

The “good news” in this whole ordeal is that under California’s community property law, which states the “economic community” ends when the relationship ends, Sugar Shane will get to keep all video and DVD profits from his most recent fights with Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito, which occurred after Jin filed for divorce.

Mosley is 46-7-1 on his career, but has lost three of his last six fights. Four if you count the divorce.

Gotta' love that Community Property doctrine. Does that also include sharing in the 'community debt?'

His NEXT fight needs to be with his shade-tree lawyer!
Stevie Wonder wouldn't have signed THAT B.S.
Who wants to bet the belts will "conveniently" be stolen before their kids turn 18?

  3. Fellas…still want to buy that ring?

Talking about marrying your enemy. Never get married fellas. The whole court system is setup for women to legally rob you of things you worked hard for.
