Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr Divorce: Did Her Daily Praying Lead To Separation?

Miranda Kerr’s admission during a recent interview that she prays on a daily basis has lead some to speculation that this was one of the main reasons for the demise of her marriage with Orlando Bloom.

The Australian model made the remarks during an interview with The Telegraph. Her interviewer asked the mother of one about being Buddhist, however Kerr soon denied that this was her religion, before explaining that her former partner, Bloom, was actually Buddhist.

“No, I’m not Buddhist. Orlando is… I’m not Buddhist. I’m Christian,” she confirmed. “I pray every day. I meditate every day and I do yoga. I’m not religious, I’m spiritual. And praying is something my grandmother taught me as well. To pray and be grateful, have gratitude, is a big thing for me.”

Could such a big thing that her partner’s admonishment of her beliefs lead to a divorce? Who knows. However it would be cruel to accuse Bloom of anything, since he has always come across as an amicable gent, while there is also no evidence that he has committed any wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, during her interview Kerr also admitted that her faith helped her to get through some particularly heinous moments in her life, which included the death of her first boyfriend. He died in a car crash when she was in high school.

Describing her process, Kerr added, “When I have challenges now, I feel like I sit with them, I try to look at things, because there’s always a positive and a negative to everything. And sometimes I’ll speak to friends, and sometimes I’ll just meditate and I’ll visualize letting it go, or whatever it might be. Meditation and yoga, and having people, as I said, who you trust, who you talk to. But also writing. I like to write, and then I can rip it up or burn it.”

Kerr also discussed how both her and Bloom have been able to adapt to separating without it affecting their relationship with their son, Flynn.

“We’ve been really good about it,” she noted. “He’s a great dad, we’re great friends and we both really love and respect each other. It works out really well, because when I go away for a couple of days [Flynn] stays with his dad.”

In a recent interview with GQ, Kerr also admitted that since her separation she has been “chatted up a lot,” while she also appeared to reveal that she is bisexual.
