Disney Movies: This Frozen Horror Trailer Will Creep You Out

When it comes to Disney movies, horror films are not really part of the Disney forte. That didn’t stop one industrious YouTuber from creating a horror trailer for everybody’s favorite Disney movie, Frozen.

Of course, you might not expect that one of the most beloved Disney movies of all time could become a horror flick, but a viewing of this trailer will change the way you look at the movie forever.

Let’s break it down.

“Do You Want to Build a Snowman”

Wow, who knew one of the sweetest phrases in all of Disney movies could become so creepy? Trust us, after hearing these words come from Anna’s menacing lips during this Frozen horror trailer, you will never look at building a snow man — or at singing songs about building snow men — the same ever again. This is doubly creepy if you were already a little creeped out by snowmen anyhow.

“I Don’t Want to Hurt You”

You’ll remember that in the Disney movie, Elsa tells her parents out of real concern that she doesn’t want to accidentally hurt them. This Disney movies Frozen horror trailer then cleverly cuts to the scene in the movie when Elsa’s and Anna’s parents close a black drape over the royal painting on the wall to signify the death of the king and queen.

The Music

Hey, you know all of that happy music that Disney movies — and especially Frozen — are famous for? Yeah, don’t expect to hear any of those during this trailer. In fact, the music is a little understated for most of the first half of the trailer, but then extends into full creepy mode at about the 0:45 second mark. Let’s just say that this Frozen movie doesn’t appear to be one of the Disney movies that your first-grader is going to want to sing along with.

Back to the Snowman

The Disney movies Frozen trailer kind of ends up back where it started, but this time a grown Anna is sadly singing, “Do you want to build a snowman?” again. The next thing we know, the trailer quickly cuts to the snow monster Elsa created roaring at the screen. To be honest, that snow monster was already kind of creepy all by itself. No new Disney movies teaser trailer was needed.
