George Clooney’s Ex Stacy Keibler Upset Or Overjoyed About His Engagement?

George Clooney is keeping peace with the exes. Stacy Keibler stepped up to contradict reports that she is “irked” over Clooney’s proposal to human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin, with a source saying she wishes nothing but the best to everyone she’s dated.

That includes Clooney.

The pair were a red carpet staple from 2011 to 2013, after Clooney broke up with his previous girlfriend, television personality Elisabetta Canalis.

Keibler and Clooney were both quick to move on after their relationship ended last July. Stacy married Jared Pobre in March and is currently pregnant with the couple’s first child, a baby girl. Clooney’s engagement to Alamuddin was made public last month. It was the work of Alamuddin’s law firm, Doughty Street Chambers, that made it official. The firm publicly announced its congratulations to the couple.

Despite the seemingly rapid switch to new partners, Clooney and Keibler may have kept their break-up under wraps long before last summer. Although the press times their relationship from 2011 to July 2013, US Weekly reported that the couple had been estranged for months before letting it be known they had called it quits.

Until Amal, the once-married Clooney was a confirmed bachelor. His marriage to Talia Balsam lasted from 1989 to 1993, and since then his list of girlfriends reads like a who’s-who of A-listers. According the The Express Clooney’s previous companions include Charlize Theron, Lucy Liu, Kimberly Russell and Renée Zellweger.

Keibler is a former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestler, actress and Dancing With the Stars contestant. Before press came out to contrary, Keibler was reportedly “irked” at Clooney’s engagement because he was not interested in marriage when they were together. Clooney was very open about his opposition to ever getting married again, and as The Seattle Times recently reported, even went so far as to bet actress Michelle Pfeiffer he would never again walk down the aisle.

If that’s true, he owes her the hefty sum of $100,000.

Clooney’s pal Julia Roberts made news by wishing him well, telling Ellen DeGeneres Wednesday that “[H]e is happy, and that is what matters to me.”

As a lawyer, Alamuddin represented WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in his attempt to fight extradition to Sweden in 2011. Amal has also acted as an adviser to former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan. Since news broke of their pending nuptials, speculation has risen as to the timing, location and cost of the ceremony, even putting a price tag on Alamuddin’s dress and Clooney’s tux.
