Kirsten Dunst: Birthday Girl Lent Her Voice To Latest ‘Cosmos’

Kirsten Dunst is celebrating her 32nd birthday by sending her voice to the stars.

Actually, the Hollywood superstar lent her voice over work to the latest episode of the suddenly popular science show, Cosmos.

Dunst and actress Marlee Matlin actually both had their voices featured as a couple of astronauts on the latest episode of the show that was relaunched by famous astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Dunst’s episode of Cosmos aired Sunday and today, Wednesday Kirsten is officially celebrating her 32nd birthday. Dunst has had a long and storied career that began at a rather young age.

While Kirsten was first spotted by Woody Allen, but she became a star when she made an appearance in Interview with a Vampire as a forever young girl. Dunst claims that was also the first time she ever kissed anyone.

Considering Kirsten was kissing Brad Pitt you would think it would have been an enjoyable experience, but the actress claims it was actually quite “disgusting.”

While Kirsten was once one of the hottest young actresses in Hollywood, her career has hit a bit of a speed bump over the last few years. The now 32-year old has been in a number of blockbuster films, including the original Spider Man movie series but has appeared almost exclusively in Indie films.

She has also drawn a number of less than positive headlines over the last few months for her views on a number of different topics. Dunst even went to great lengths to defend Bryan Singer by claiming that some women actually know and want to have a sexual encounter on the casting couch.

Needless to say, these comments in particular have drawn howls of outrage from fellow actresses in Hollywood who believe Kirsten is blaming the victim.

Dunst seems to think she’s simply telling it like it is in a place like Hollywood where there are plenty of people who will do whatever it takes to get ahead. The actress may not know exactly what would drive someone to do something like that, but she has been in the public eye long enough to at least have some sort of perspective about what the entertainment industry is all about.

Kirsten Dunst’s most famous indie title was released in 2011 and Melancholia did allow her to revive her acting career to some extent.
