Liam Payne Cries While Performing ‘You And I’ On-Stage In Colombia

Liam Payne is feeling a little emotional while touring with One Direction.

For those who haven’t noticed, the singer posted a series of cryptic and worrisome messages on Twitter this week. Not only does Payne feel that no one truly knows him beyond his pop star persona, he also expressed loneliness while hanging out in a hotel room by himself.

Apparently Liam Payne had a little trouble keeping it together during the recent One Direction concert in Colombia. While performing the tune “You and I” for those in attendance, people noticed that Payne was shedding a few tears. Apparently something in the lyrics prompted poor Liam to cry.

Of course, fans were quick to point out the guy’s emotional outburst on Twitter.

What sort of things are bringing Liam Payne down these days? Career-wise, the guy is on top of the world at the moment. He has millions of adoring fans, a best-selling album, and new music in the works. Is there something else going on behind the scenes that we don’t know about?

The Inquisitr previously reported that Payne tweeted about spending some time all by his lonesome in a hotel room, a post that was soon followed by a reference to a Drake tune about breaking up with someone you care about. As such, a few folks believe that Liam’s relationship with Sophia Smith is on the rocks.

If the One Direction singer and his girlfriend decided to call it quits, then it would explain why Payne got more than a little emotional while belting out “You and I” for his fans in Colombia. Since he’s yet to officially address the situation as of this writing, it’s best to treat this as nothing more than one writer’s theory. However, this probably won’t stop fans from bugging the guy about it going forward.

Were you surprised that Liam Payne cried while performing “You and I” on-stage with the rest of One Direction? Does this signal that his relationship with Sophia Smith is over?
