Dave Chappelle: New Look, New Show?

Dave Chappelle, the normally slender-framed comedian, famous for his “Rick James” and “Prince” Sketches, is apparently hitting the weights.

A fresh new version of Chappelle hit the streets of NYC last weekend, wearing a black tank-top and showing off a recent addition to his arsenal, guns.

In addition to his new look, the famous stand-up comic is rumored to possibly be working on a new show.

Last week, Dave made a surprise visit and performed at the Comedy Cellar in NYC, bumping several comics in the process.

“He came in, didn’t tell anyone he was coming, went on stage and did just over an hour,” one employee at the popular stand up spot told E! News. “But that’s short for him. Everybody liked seeing him.”

Although specific details of what the “comedic genius” has in store are unknown at this time, Chappelle is rumored to be planning a comeback with a subscription service like Netflix or Hulu, according to The Daily.

Dave’s last aired performance was an appearance on Inside the Actors Studio celebratory 200th episode. In the episode, which aired November 11, 2008, Chappelle hilariously interviewed James Lipton, the show’s usual host.
