Mickey Rourke Downsizes: Moves Into “Less Pricey” Duplex

Mickey Rourke has enjoyed a great movie career that has increased in popularity with his comeback over the last several years, however the actor is still spend thrifty, at least by Hollywood standards, downgrading this week from his 5,000 square foot loft in Manhattan to a more “modest” apartment in the West Village.

The actors new three-bedroom apartment still comes in at a hefty cost of $13,500, however that price is down form $19,800 from his old pad.

Along with the bedrooms the residence offers three bathrooms, a fireplace and a little garden area for his chihuahua dogs.

The property is a duplex would seems like an odd choice for Rourke who is already nursing an injured knee and has admitted that he already needs help being pushed up stairs. The actor is trying to get back in shape to play Britain’s first openly gay rugby player an a yet-to-be-titled film.

Here are a few more photos from Rourke’s new pad:

After losing all his money when his last movie career fell apart I have to applaud Rourke for stepping back and taking responsibility for his money situation. Then again he might just want to party in the West Village, it’s always hard to tell with Mickey.
