Sofia Vergara: Threesome Scene In ‘Fading Gigolo’ Was Nerve Wracking
Sofia Vergara said hopping into bed for a threesome with Sharon Stone and John Turturro was not like anything she’s ever experienced before.
The scene appears in the upcoming movie Fading Gigolo. As the actress explained, she had never done anything like that on film before and certainly never in real life. But Stone, who is a veteran of racy scenes in movies like Basic Instinct, was a big help in getting Vergara comfortable for the scene.
“When I arrived on the set, Sharon was very supportive,” Vergara said. “She was very nice. She told me, ‘Just follow me, I’ve done this many times, it’s going to be fine, just relax.’ ”
Fading Gigolo shows both Sharon Stone and Sofia Vergara as customers of a highly sought after male escort, who is played by John Turturro. At one point the two ladies and Turturro jump in bed together for a threesome.Turturro, who also wrote and directed the film, said Vergara’s unease with the scene actually accomplished what he wanted to portray.
“I thought it would be interesting to put these characters in situations they had never been in before,” he said.
While Vergara has never been in that situation herself — either paying for sex or having a threesome — she didn’t disparage anyone who decided to give it try.
“Fortunately, I’ve never fell into that point of having to pay for sex, but I don’t wanna judge anyone and after seeing the movie, it’s true, some people are lonely and I think life is short and you should do whatever you need to do to make yourself happy and enjoy your life,” she said. “And if you can afford it, why not?”
Sofia Vergara has had some racy scenes before, though they’ve mostly been in jest. During a recent trip to the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Sofia’s friend Ellen treated her to a cup of her favorite Juan Valdez Colombian coffee, which just happened to be delivered by a male stripper.
