Jennifer Lawrence And Bradley Cooper: Big Screen True Love?

Sometimes two people come together in such a way that the world is a better place for it. In the case of Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, we can at least say that movies are better for it. Starting with “Silver Linings Playbook,” in 2012, the actors have been working together relatively steadily.

In “Silver Linings Playbook,” Jennifer plays a strange and emotionally unbalanced widow, while Cooper plays a bi-polar man determined to return to his life before a violent incident. Following that, they starred in “American Hustle.” Instead of playing each other’s love interest, Bradley plays an FBI agent involved in a sting with Jennifer Lawrence’s character’s husband. Now, they’re in another movie: “Serena.”

Although “Serena” is rumored to come out in 2014, it began its creation in 2012 only a little while after “Silver Linings Playbook” was released. The movie is based on a book by the same name and set in the depression era. Once again, Jennifer Lawrence plays a slightly nutty character. Both of the pair’s currently released films opened to amazing reviews, and “Serena” is being watched very carefully by many movie fans and critics.

Plenty of actors work together to back the best films possible: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, John Cleese and Michael Palin, etc. What makes Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper so special?

First, it’s rare for male and female leads to work together, as much as they have, and not date. Although there have been rumors circulating to the contrary, both Jennifer and Brad insist that they don’t see each other that way. On various red carpets, Lawrence has agreed with her co-star that dating is off the table.

Second, they don’t rely on each other for their careers. Cooper in starring in two films this year outside of “Serena.” Jennifer Lawrence is not starring in either one of them (an untitled Cameron Crowe project and “Guardians of the Galaxy”).

Equally, Jennifer Lawrence has two other movies coming out this year that he won’t be starring in (“X-Men: Days of future Past” and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1”).

Finally, their on-screen chemistry is intense. One of the greatest things about “Silver Linings Playbook” was that Jennifer and Bradley worked so well with each other that it was impossible to look away. Anytime actors have that level of chemistry, magic happens.

Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper might not be romantically in love, but the world has found a kind of true love for them. Although they don’t seem to have any future projects lined up, it’s safe to say that the world is hoping to add a “yet” to that statement.
