Burger King Denies Kanye West Franchise Purchase, Offers To Cater Wedding

Burger King isn’t immediately aware of any franchise purchases by either Kanye West or Kim Kardashian.

Reports surfaced not too long ago that the rapper purchased no less than 10 Burger King restaurants throughout Europe as a wedding gift for his famous fiancé. Since Kim essentially has every possible possession she could want, West decided a Burger King investment was the next best thing.

However, Rolling Stone explains that Burger King has denied reports that Kanye picked up a few European locations for his bride-to-be. If the rapper has a few restaurants lined up for the future, then this is certainly news to them.

This slightly disappointing news arrived courtesy of an official statement from the fast food chain. A Burger King representative reportedly sent a quick note to the folks over at NME about the situation. According to the website, the company currently isn’t doing business with West and his fiancé.

The chain said in a statement:

“Burger King Corp. is familiar with the recent news stories regarding Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. We are unaware of any purchase of Burger King restaurants made by either Mr. West or Ms. Kardashian, but we’re available to cater the wedding!”

The Inquisitr previously reported that Kanye West allegedly bought the 10 Burger King locations as a way to invest in the couple’s financial future. The rapper also wants to get Kim far away from the TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians as soon as humanly possible.

“She owns all the jewels anyone could ever want, so he is taking the practical route by investing in businesses for her instead. He knows the fast food industry is reliable and lucrative, plus BK is international so he thinks it’s the perfect fit for Kim,” an insider recently explained.

The anonymous source continued, “Kanye wants to buy her 10 restaurants across the UK, Italy and France, making her a real international businesswoman.”

Vibe points out that West’s interest in a BK franchise isn’t an entirely ridiculous idea. The rapper reportedly owns a handful of Fatburger locations throughout Chicago, which makes his interest in the national fast food chain not entirely far-fetched. Unfortunately, this is possibly nothing more than another odd internet rumor.

If West and Kardashian aren’t in the market for Burger King restaurants, then at least they can get the company to cater their wedding. The couple will reportedly tie the knot in Paris on May 24.
