Chief Keef Drops ‘Bang 4’ EP Ahead Of ‘Bang 3’ Release

Chief Keef is giving fans some new music before he drops his second full-length studio album.

Although some might argue that releasing a follow-up to a record that hasn’t dropped yet is not unlike putting the cart before the horse, apparently Keef doesn’t care about such things. According to Complex, the rapper intends to release an EP entitled Bang 4 before Bang 3 hits store shelves on March 3. In some circles that’s called forward thinking.

Those of you who still need more Chief Keef material in their lives right now have Back from the Dead 2 looming on the horizon as well. Keef’s stint in rehab obviously didn’t slow down his creative output, which means fans better have some mad money lying around the house. The guy’s definitely making a bid for your spare change.

Chief Keef told Billboard earlier this month that his upcoming efforts are a lot stronger than Bang 2 and Almighty So. Since the rapper was under the influence of prescription cough syrup at the time he put the mixtapes together, they didn’t come out as strong as he’d originally hoped.

“My last two mixtapes were mistakes. I was on promethazine, all drugged out. I was tweaking. I don’t sip the lean no more though,” he told he publication. In other words, Bang 3 and the Bang 4 EP are a return to form for Keef.

Manager Peeda Pan admitted to Billboard that the rapper occasionally loses his temper with the guy. He said, “A lot of times, I got p***ed off at Keef. He knows what he’s doing a lot more than people give him credit for. He has control. People ask, ‘Why did he do that?’ He knows why.”
