Harry Styles: One Direction Won’t Split Up

Harry Styles has an announcement that will make One Direction fans go gaga. In a Saturday report by Metro, Harry Styles confirmed that the band won’t be splitting up any time soon.

Fans all over the world have been worried about the current status of One Direction when one of its members, Liam Payne confirmed that he hasn’t met with Harry Styles and the other One-D guys – Niall, Louis and Zayn – for three months until the 2014 Brit Awards. Some interpreted this as a sign that the boy band is going through a difficult time and may completely be disbanded in the near future.

However, Harry Styles immediately denied that the band will be splitting up soon. In the Metro article, Harry Styles said that although the boys of One-D haven’t seen each other for 12 weeks, they all communicate with each other almost daily on WhatsApp.

Harry Styles and his band mate Liam even confirmed that the boys are busy writing new songs for their upcoming album and will be meeting very soon to rehearse for their next tour.

So why haven’t they met for three months?

Harry Styles said family is the reason. The 20 year old singer told the press that because of his hectic involvement with One Direction, he wasn’t able to allot more time for his family. He even jokingly said that he has already forgotten his own mom’s face.

Their three-month hiatus was dedicated to spending more time with their respective families, according to the Metro article.

“I miss the boys but if you don’t see your family you would go mad.”

After a 122-date world tour, Harry Styles said that there was definitely a need for a holiday, prompting the band members to take a brief break and spend time with their families.

One Direction started as five separate contestants for the British competition The X-Factor but failed to make it to the grand finals. They were then put together to form a band that will eventually gain millions of fans worldwide. Despite massive international success, Harry Styles keeps his feet on the ground and admits that One Direction cannot compare with the Beatles.

The band was up for four trophies during the Brit Awards – Best British Single, Best British Group, Global Success Awards and Best British Video. The band was able to snag the latter two of the four awards.

Not only did Harry Styles deny the One Direction split-up rumors, he has also proven to his fans that he keeps his family a priority. Another reason for admirers to love Harry Styles and One Direction more than ever.
