Aaron Spelling Mansion

Candy Spelling wanted $150 million for her 57,000 square foot home in Holmby Hills but the widow of TV mogul Aaron Spelling ended up settling for $85 million.

The home is currently in escrow for the next 30 to 60 days and was sold to 22-year-old Petra Ecclestone the daughter  of Formula One mogul Bernie Ecclestone who is worth $4 billion.

The home is one of the more famous digs in California and was built by Spelling using money from his hit shows including Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, The Love Boat and various other well known TV sitcoms from decades of work.

At just over $1000 per square foot the home is a steal for the super rich.

What would a 22-year-old want with a house that big and for $85M? Even if I was rich, I wouldn't spend that much for a house.
