Brandi Glanville Describes Herself As ‘Ghetto Rich’

Brandi Glanville said she and ex-husband Eddie Cibrian often spent money they didn’t really have to make everyone believe they were rolling in the dough.

Although it appeared that the reality TV star had a ton of cash sitting around in her bank account back in the day, it turns out this was all a meticulously-crafted ruse. During her conversation with Times magazine, Brandi revealed the truth about her financial situation.

“Eddie and I were never truly rich. We were ghetto rich. We had the nice cars, the nice house and the nice jewels, but we probably had a second and a third mortgage. We were living pay cheque to pay cheque, with no savings,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum told the publication.

Glanville added that her only role in the marriage was to make her husband look good. Whenever they would go out to dinner with their wealthy friends, her job was to look “great on his arm.” In her opinion, she was nothing more than a trophy wife.

However, Brandi Glanville’s financial situation seems to have changed in recent years. According to Wetpaint, the reality TV star is worth between $1 million and $5 million. Instead of blowing her cash on frivolous things, Brandi said she shops at the 99 Cent Store and tries her best not to “keep up with the Kardashians.”

Glanville and Cibrian broke up after he infamously had an affair with country singer LeAnn Rimes. Although the couple split years ago, it doesn’t appear that Brandi is ready or willing to move on. In her latest book Drinking and Dating: P.S. Social Media Is Ruining Romance, she let the world know that some wounds never properly heal.

“It’s been five years now since I discovered my ex-husband was sleeping with half of the women in Hollywood,” Glanville wrote, adding that she was “foolish” to believe that her husband was faithful during their marriage.

She added, “When you write an entire c**t’ry album about your affair with a married man, most people won’t buy it.”

Glanville’s follow-up to her memoir Drinking and Tweeting: And Other Brandi Blunders hits bookstore shelves today (February 11). If you receive the tome as a gift this Valentine’s Day, then it’s probably time to reassess your relationship.
