One Direction Singer Zayn Malik Offers Dating Advice Ahead Of Valentine’s Day

One Direction singer Zayn Malik recently shared a few tips for those hopeless romantics looking to score a date this Valentine’s Day.

If there’s one person out there who knows a thing or two about landing that special someone, then it’s definitely Malik. The singer is all set to tie the knot with Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards later this year. To make sure everyone finds the love they deserve, Zayn coughed up some dating advice to Top of the Pops magazine.

Since the singer also discussed Niall Horan’s farting during the same interview, it may seem strange to take advice from Zayn Malik. However, his tips for landing a successful date are pretty basic and straight-forward. In short: Just tell that special someone how you feel and hope for the best. Remember to keep your fingers crossed, too.

“Just say, ‘Look, I fancy you, shall we go out?’ and that should be done face to face. Sometimes shy can come across as not being interested, so you should just be direct with people. If you fancy them enough, then go for it,” Malik told the publication.

Country music star Taylor Swift also had a few pointers for those folks looking for love. Given the singer’s track record with boyfriends, it’s probably best to try Malik’s approach first. If all else fails, then fall back on Swift’s advice.

“There are no rules when it comes to love. I just try to let love surprise me, because you never know who you’re going to fall in love with. When I picture the person I want to end up with, I don’t think about what their career is, or what they look like. I picture the feeling I get when I’m with them,” the singer explained.

Of course, Swift seems to have gathered most of her advice on love from friend and fellow singer Ed Sheeran. Since Swift has previously struggled to find happiness in the world of romance, Sheeran sat her down for a quick lesson about the human heart.

Swift told InStyle magazine:

“[Ed] says there are different kinds of love: There’s physical attraction, mental attraction, and emotional attraction; there’s also comfort and obsession. You need to have all of those things in one person. You have to mentally respect them, be physically attracted, and have a comfort level. You’re obsessed with them, yet you also know they’re going to stay. I’ve never had that in one person.”
