Kanye West Calls Kim Kardashian ‘Just As Talented’ As Lena Dunham, Report Says

You can’t say Kanye West is a man who doesn’t stick up for his woman. Earlier today, as The Inquisitr reported, the rap titan shelled out a quarter-million dollars to a teenager, because when the kid shouted racial and sexual slurs at Kim Kardashian, Kanye beat the kid up.

That was impressive enough to his bride-to-be, who reportedly has deemed Kanye West a “real man” for his actions to defend her. Now he has done it again, albeit with his words, not his fists this time. And the offense was not a racist attack — it was a snub by the bible of the fashion world, Vogue Magazine.

According to a report yesterday in the online celebrity gossip site Radar Online, Kanye West was outraged that Vogue left his reality-star fiancé off of its February, 2014, cover, that when he saw Vogue‘s legendary British editor, 64-year-old Anna Wintour, at Beverly Hills’ swanky Polo Lounge, he gave her a piece of his sometimes overly active mind.

Kanye was reportedly steamed that not only had 33-year-old Kim Kardashian been left out of the magazine’s cover slot, though instead it went to the 27-year-old creator and star of HBO’s comedy Girls, Lena Dunham.

West burned Wintour’s ear, insisting that Kim Kardashian is “just as talented as Lena, if not more so,” according to an “insider” who spilled the beans on the Polo Lounge pow-wow. West also told Wintour that “Kim has a much bigger fan base and appeal than Lena,” the alleged insider said.

The first claim is rather dubious, but the second one, well, Kanye West may have a point there. Judging by the most recent TV ratings, Kim Kardashian, even though her audience is falling, still drew 2.56 million viewers to last Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

But the season premiere of Girls on HBO pulled in just 1.1 million viewers over three separate airings. The only catch is, with on-demand viewings, online streaming and repeats throughout the week, Girls has been drawing 4.6 million sets of eyeballs per week.

No figures on a cumulative viewership for Keeping Up With The Kardashians were available, so the comparison isn’t really a fair one.

The rumor-checking web site Gossip Cop says that when its reporters called Vogue for a reaction, they were told that the story of the Kanye West-Anna Wintour tete a tete is “untrue.”

However, this is not the first time that Vogue has slighted Kim Kardashian, much to the chagrin of Kanye West. In May of last year when Kanye and Kim attended the MET Gala in New York, Vogue was on hand to take pictures. But when a photo ran, Kim Kardashian had been cropped out and Kanye West was shown standing alone.
