Demi Lovato: Selena Gomez Is A-Okay Following Justin Bieber’s Arrest
Demi Lovato wants everyone to know that her friend Selena Gomez is doing just fine following troubled pop star Justin Bieber’s recent arrest in Miami, Florida.
Since Gomez has a history with Bieber — one that reportedly involved some angry and inappropriate texts on behalf of Justin — many fans have wondered how the singer is dealing with the aftermath of her ex-boyfriend’s legal woes. According to Lovato, you don’t have to worry yourselves sick about Selena.
During her chat with Ryan Seacrest on Friday, Demi Lovato assured folks that Gomez is a-okay following Bieber’s arrest. However, she stopped short of revealing any details about the situation with the American Idol host’s radio listeners.
“We’re really, really close. “And. any advice I had for her, we talked last night and—you know—it’s between us. But I love her so much. We have an incredible friendship. [Selena] is strong! She’s doing really well right now!” Lovato explained to Seacrest.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Demi Lovato took her good friend out for a bit to eat at Craig’s in West Hollywood following Justin Bieber’s recent brush with police. Take a look at some pictures of the girls out and about below.

Although their friendship was put to the test a few years ago, it would appear that Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez have everything worked out. The “Neon Lights” singer told MTV News that she truly values the relationship she has with Gomez these days.
“We’ve had periods of times when we grew apart, and we just didn’t really talk. But now we’re in a place where we realize that life is so short, and that when you have people in your life that love you so much, then you should just always be around them,” Demi Lovato said.
Gomez added, “Demi’s very, very strong. She’s the only person that I would tell the deepest, darkest secrets to. The only person… I’m so happy that I have her back in my life now.”
