Muhammad Ali’s Benz For Sale, And Ex-Wife Khalilah Camacho Ali Talks About Life Before The Fame

Muhammad Ali’s Benz is for sale, and Ali’s Ex-Wife Khalilah Camacho Ali is talking about her marriage to the iconic boxer.

In a related report from The Inquisitr, rumors of the ex-boxers failing health have been circulating.

With 270 precious jewels, 23 karat gold bumper, headlamps, grill, buttons, knobs and switches, what was once Muhammad Ali’s 1959 Mercedes Golden Angel Wing, should fetch a great price for charity. The appraised price tag on the car is $1.5 million and the proceeds are said to be going to “fight global world hunger”.

Phil Waterford, owner of Manteca Ford, where the Benz is allegedly going spoke about the outrageously expensive car:

“I think this car will end up in a museum. It is meant to glorify God … all the complexions of the human race.”

Muhammad Ali’s ex-wife Khalilah Camacho Ali also recently dished about her marriage to the champ during his rise to fame:

“See, you guys don’t realize Ali wasn’t the great Muhammad Ali as he is now. He was going in that direction. He was struggling in that direction. He was struggling with people taking everything from him and I was the only thing that held everything together. You know, I kind of guided him along the way, and it was it was a wonderful struggle, and it was tough for him. He was depressed most of the time. He was unhappy, didn’t know what the hell was going to happen to him. So I had to give him that positiveness, that positive ‘Hey, you can have a family. We can do this together. I could write the speeches, and you could speak the speeches, and we’ll become a people’s champ.”

The pair were married for 10 years, from 1967-1977, and they had four children. Muhammad Ali is currently married to Yolanda Williams, who is his fourth wife.

In other quirky Muhammad Ali news, a plumber (and huge fan of the KO King) was recently just going about his work when he decided to pop in on Muhammad Ali, who lives across the street from the house call he was making that morning. Irishman Tony Kelly describes his encounter:

“We were working last Friday and some of my workmates said that Muhammad Ali in the house across the street. I thought it was a wind-up so I decided to call their bluff. I knocked on the door and Ali’s wife Yolanda answered and I just asked would it be possible for one of his greatest fans from Ireland to meet him.

She said ‘Of course’ and invited me in and there he was (Ali) sitting in the living room.”
