David Guetta Takes Center Stage at New Festival

David Guetta and J Cole are making a big appearance at the inaugural Suburbia Festival

Suburbia Music festival is being held in North texas at Oak Point park & Nature preserve on May 3rd and 4th. For a first time festival this a great start for it to get two great artists such as Guetta and Cole to headline it.

The festival itself will have a variety of musicians playing there such as rock, folk, urban and plenty more. Another great group of musicians to help the festival thrive is the Grammy nominated band Alabama shakes. The tickets for the festival start to go on sale January 25th at 10 am, and the ticket price will be $79.50 and tickets can be bought from Live nation.

David Guetta is a French house music producer who got his start in the musician business by being a Dj at several different clubs since the early 1980s. Guetta first album was called “Just a Little More Love” which was released in 2002. Guettaa has been one of the most influential produces since the release of his first album, and has worked with well known artist such as Ludacris,and Kelly Rowland.

J Cole is currently a popular Hip Hop artist who started his career in his late teens and eventually got signed to JAY Z Roc Nation. Cole’s first album hit number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart when it released in September of 2011. Cole’s success with his first album got him a Grammy nomination. J Cole is an inspiration to young hip hop artists looking to make something of themselves in the music industry.

The Alabama Shakes started in Athens, Alabama as a local rock band. The Band consists of the lead singer and guitarist Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, bassist Zac Cockrell, keyboard player Ben Tanner, and drummer Steve Johnson. The group first became known by releasing four songs to the public which became popular and got them invited to the CMJ Music Marathon Industry showcase in New York. CMJ skyrocketed their music career and by November 2011 they were signed by ATO records in America, and by Rough trade records in the United Kingdom. The bands first full length album “Boys & Girls” was awarded Gold record status with sales over 500,000 in the United states. The Group was later nominated three times for the 2013 Grammy Awards, and the nominations were best new artist, rock performance, and best recording package.
