As the first major event of award season, and precursor to the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes will determine which movies, television shows, and actors will be taking home the hardware this year.
There are some big favorites this year, including 12 Years A Slave, which has racked up the nominations. Aside from its Best Drama nod, the movie also has nominations for Best Actor (Chiwetel Ejiofor), Best Director (Steve McQueen), Best Supporting Actor (Michael Fassbender), Best Score (Hans Zimmer), and Best Screenplay (John Ridley).
American Hustle is another highly nominated film, with nods for Best Musical/Comedy, Best Director (David O. Russell), Best Actor and Actress (Christian Bale and Amy Adams), Best Supporting Actor and Actress (Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence), and Best Screenplay (Eric Warren Singer, David O. Russell).
