Michael Jackson’s Daughter Returned To Grandmother’s House For Holidays
Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris, is returning to her grandmother’s house for the first time following her hospitalization after a suicide attempt.
Paris wasn’t home for Christmas, but she returned to Katherine Jackson’s house in Calabasas prior to the end of the year, after leaving a therapeutic boarding school in Utah.
Michael Jackson’s daughter, who gave a brief, but heartfelt eulogy during her father’s memorial service on July 7, 2009, reportedly attempted to take her life in June of 2013 and was hospitalized in Los Angeles.
The 15-year-old was reportedly released from the institution for the Christmas break and would join her family –including brother Prince Michael Jackson– who was vacationing in Hawaii, after which she was going to grandma’s house.
On December 29, Michael Jackson’s daughter posted a picture of her and her mother, Debbie Rowe, on Instagram with the caption, “Momma :)”, however, it appears the photo is from a visit she received from mom while she was still in Utah.
A source says the teen will only be spending a few days with her family, before returning to her treatment center.
Some reports say Michael Jackson’s daughter spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with her mother Debbie and later joined the rest of her family.
Katherine Jackson told reporters of Paris:
“She is in a good place, getting the help she needs. She is doing much better. The treatment is going good, really good. She’s my baby. It’s hard for me, really hard. All I want these kids to be is happy.”
Following Michael Jackson’s death in 2009, Katherine Jackson was named permanent guardian of his three children, while Debbie Rowe, whom he divorced in 1999, was allowed visitation rights.
Paris was raised solely by her father Michael Jackson and her identity kept a secret, as he made her and her brothers wear masks or veils when out in public to protect their identities from paparazzi.
One of her first public appearances came at her father’s public memorial service following his shocking death in 2009, when choking back tears, she bravely told a house packed with fans and celebrities:
“I just want to say…Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just want to say I love him… so much.”
On June 5, 2013 Michael Jackson’s daughter attempted to take her own life by taking 20 Mortin PM pills and cutting her wrists, after writing a suicide note.
