Sarah Hyland: Carly Rae Jepsen ‘Not Okay’ For Cinderella On Broadway

For Sarah Hyland, Carly Rae Jepsen is apparently not the best choice for the Cinderella on broadway role.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, while we won’t see Sarah Hyland nude in Vampire Academy, the actress does say the movie “actually stays really true to the book” and certain scenes feature “very sexy people.”

Ever since Modern Family, Hyland has been trying to branch out and get into other types of roles. Besides Vampire Academy, the 22-year-old young actress was spotted wearing a lovely dress at the Lovelace premiere.

But you’re probably wondering… how did Sarah and Carly begin butting heads? Why, the answer is just a tweet away. The news about Carly Rae Jepsen already landing the lead Cinderella role just came out the other day and she’s excited about making her debut in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella starting on February 4, 2014:

“Broadway has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl, and I look forward to working with this incredibly talented cast to tell this classic tale. My favorite part of the school year was our trip to New York, where we met Broadway performers and toured the theaters. It’s so hopeful and inspiring. I’ve always been one to believe in the impossible, so I relate to her character completely.”

Well, Sarah Hyland apparently had an overwhelming mean girl urge hit her since she wrote this on Twitter:

Who is Laura Osnes? She’s been the previous Cinderella for over a year and is a Tony award-nominee. She must have noticed some of the Twitter hate because she posted this message to everyone:

While Sarah wasn’t the target of that Tweet (look at the time stamps), it’s obvious Hyland had second thoughts because she tweeted again several hours later:

Do you agree with Sarah Hyland that Carly Rae Jepsen wouldn’t make a good Cinderella?
