Mary McCormack ‘Blindsided’ By Husband Cheating With Katharine McPhee

Mary McCormack has been ‘blindsided’ by her husband, Michael Morris, cheating on her with Katharine McPhee.

The wife of the Smash director Michael Morris reportedly didn’t see anything wrong with her marriage until her husband informed her on Sunday, that TMZ had photos of him kissing the show’s star, Katharine McPhee in plain sight.

McPhee and Morris were photographed walking in a Los Angeles parking lot on the weekend, with fingers intertwined and later on locking lips, as he walked her to her car.

Michael Morris was seen wearing his wedding band on the TMZ photos with McPhee, who is said to be “embarrassed” at getting caught.

According to a People Magazine source, Mary McCormack thought she was a happily married woman, “Mary adores her husband. If this is true, she would have been blindsided. She is the most devoted mother and wife.”

McCormack and Morris have been married for over 10-years and have three daughters between the ages of two and nine-yeas-old.

Katharine McPhee married Nick Cockas in 2008, but there are reports the marriage has been on the rocks and the couple has been living separate lives for about six months and are now divorced. She was the “American Idol” Season 5 runner-up in 2006.

Sources close to Mary McCormack told Us Weekly, “She is so cool and the nicest person. It’s so sad that this happened to her. She’s truly great.”

When the former West Wing star found out about her husband’s cheating, she reportedly threw him out of the house, however, other reports indicate that she and Michael Morris split earlier.

Mary McCormack, 44, is said to be bent on ending the relationship, even though she tried to keep the family together for the sake of her young children.

Reports says Michael Morris is trying to convince Mary McCormack not to end their marriage. Whether he will be successful following his cheating, remains to be seen.
