Zendaya has debuted her custom look-alike Barbie doll, complete with the dreadlocks that sparked so much controversy on Fashion Police , when host Giuliana Rancic criticized her Vivienne Westwood look from the 2015 Oscars Red Carpet.

“I feel like she smells like patchouli oil and weed,” Giuliana said at the time, causing co-hosts Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin to pull out of the show.

While hosting the Barbie Rock ‘N Royals Concert Experience on Saturday, September 26 at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California, Zandaya revealed her highly anticipated Barbie doll, designed by Barbie designer Carlyle Nuera, on the “pink” carpet.

The former Disney Channel star shared two pictures on Instagram Saturday of her and her original Zandaya Barbie. One photo shows her kissing the doll, while the other, in black and white, shows them side-to-side, showcasing their remarkable resemblance.

“When I was little I couldn’t find a Barbie that looked like me, my… how times have changed. Thank you @barbiefor this honor and for allowing me to be apart of your diversification and expansion of the definition of beauty. Can’t wait to keep doing amazing things with you #besuper,” she captioned the photo.

Mattel announced last week, via Twitter, that they would be honoring Zendaya with a look-alike Barbie for her work with “encouraging girls to Raise Their Voices and to #BeSuper!”

Rapper Nicki Minaj, who also had a Barbie doll with her resemblance made, congratulated Zendaya on Instagram.

“I love your doll’s hair,” Minaj said, according to ABC News . “I love what it means for other little girls who will identify with it & be empowered.”

“[The dolls should have] matching bff Barbie cars with the dreamhouse to match,” the rapper joked.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Zendaya recently had to take to social media to slam some Twitter trolls who were making comments about her parents, Claire Stoermer and Kazembe Ajamu , calling them “ugly” and saying they would “cry” if their parents looked like that.

Rather than stooping to the troll’s level, she responded to their remarks in the best way possible. Not only did she describe her parents as the “most selfless people in the world,” she also commended them for their work as teachers, helping to cultivate and fill “young shallow minds.”

“Please, log out, go to school, hug a teacher and read a textbook… and while you’re at it, go look in the mirror and know that you too are beautiful, because such hateful things only stem from internal struggles. Bless you,” she said.

The Rock n’ Royals Concert Experience also celebrated the release of Barbie’s latest movie with surprise performances of the film’s songs. The event also featured a pink carpet, a Super Style Zone area, and a Super Dance Zone. Zendaya said she was incredibly excited to host the event. Not only did she get to travel to the Barbie headquarters, she was also ecstatic to hear that the proceeds from the event were being donated to the VH1 Save the Music Foundation . Both of her parents are educators, and Zendaya actually went to an arts school called Oakland School for the Arts.

“I think it’s really important young people have an outlet, something they can focus their energy on,” she said, according to Yahoo Celebrity . “Idle time leads to negative things.”
