Stephanie McMahon suspended Brock Lesnar on WWE Raw this week as the “Beast Incarnate” completed his long-awaited babyface turn on WWE television. When Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman came out to address the WWE Universe on his WrestleMania match with Roman Reigns, the crowd cheered heavily for the former WWE champion. Brock Lesnar became the biggest face on the WWE roster.

However, it wasn’t Lesnar’s segment on WWE Raw that had the WWE fans talking yesterday morning. It was a rumored-incident that was figured out by WWE fans all across the internet. In an earlier report by the Inquisitr , WWE fans accused Brock Lesnar of blading during his match with Roman Reigns.

Inside the article, a gif of the ref supposedly handing Reigns a blade surfaced the internet. Now, there is no blade in sight during the short gif. It’s only a five-second long motion-capture of the referee grabbing Reigns’ hand when Brock Lesnar and he were on the outside of the ring. The question of whether Lesnar bladed or not needed answered.

According to Daily Wrestling News, the WWE issued a statement on the “Brock Lesnar blading” situation that started to go around the WWE Universe.

“WWE programming is TV-PG and we don’t permit intentional bleeding. The communication or contact between our performers and referees is part of our safety protocol. That said, unintentional blood sometimes occurs, and we do our best to minimize.”

Vince McMahon, as well as other WWE programming, proclaims that they are a PG-rated program. The “PG” logo that shows up before WWE Raw starts even proves that. So, when the WWE says Brock Lesnar didn’t blade during his WrestleMania match with Roman Reigns, there’s no other option than believing the WWE.

In the past, the WWE has insisted on being public during big news. Just like the rumor of Reigns failing a drug test, the WWE stepped in and issued a statement on the story. If there are stories about a potential match or storyline, then WWE doesn’t usually get involved. In that case, it’s WWE fans writing about rumors they hear from a source.

With blading incidents in the past that went wrong, like Stone Cold and Bret Hart, they’ve cracked down on the cases ultimately. Unless there is video evidence of the referee handing Reigns a blade to “do the job” to Brock Lesnar’s forehead, then no accusations can be made on the rumor. Besides, Brock Lesnar hit the ring post with force, so that had to have got Brock Lesnar to bleed the way he did.
