Triple H and Vince McMahon are still at odds with each other in regards to when the company should debut Finn Balor and his “Balor Club” stable, according to Daily Wrestling News.

For several months, Balor has teased a new stable in the WWE — under the name Bulletproof and Balor Club — similar to the Bullet Club that he founded and led for a while in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). Former NJPW mainstays Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson have both reportedly signed with WWE and are expected to join Balor on the main roster as part of the group.

Daily Wrestling News’ report states that McMahon wanted to debut the stable at this past Monday’s RAW in Chicago, Illinois. With Wrestlemania 32 just a few weeks away, the chairman feels that debuting the stable now will “freshen things up, pop the ratings, create a buzz and make money from merchandise.” Triple H, on the other hand, does not agree with McMahon’s assessment.

Balor, 34, is the current NXT World champion and Triple H does not want to debut the promotion’s champion while he holds the title. It should be noted that current WWE Intercontinental champion Kevin Owens debuted while he was NXT World champion last year.

Before Balor and company run roughshod on the main roster, Triple H wants him to drop the title. With Balor scheduled to defend the championship against Samoa Joe at NXT Takeover: Dallas during Wrestlemania 32 weekend, it’s possible that’s when a title change occurs.

The report also mentions that these week-to-week arguments about debuting this stable have “shed a new light” on the differences between Triple H and McMahon’s views of NXT. It’s been well publicized that Triple H is the founder of the current NXT product and is the biggest reason why it has grown from a developmental territory to a promotion on the precipice of being a touring brand.

During a Q&A with the Orlando Sentinel’s Brian Fritz after a Wrestlemania 33 announcement press conference, McMahon praised Triple H and his work into creating the WWE Performance and NXT.

“What Paul has done, he’s done an extraordinary job and because of the welcome here in Florida, because of the Performance Center, its world-class qualities, we are able to attract so many more athletes now. You saw the NXT talent that was here. I was talking to John Cena who was there [at the Performance Center] this week giving a pep talk and he said these talents are really, really good. And he says, ‘I’ve got to tell you, watching the new talents in there, the looks that they certainly have, you can see that they’re very different and they’re gifted athletically.’”

Just a few days later, the Wrestling Observer (via Wrestling Inc ) reported that McMahon is not impressed with NXT, claiming that he doesn’t view most of the performers on the roster as “money” talents. The handling of Tyler Breeze’s main roster call up was cited as one case in which a popular NXT performer was given a shot and quickly demoted to the bottom of the WWE food chain.

The company has made it a tradition in recent years to call up, at least, one name from NXT the night after Wrestlemania. In recent years, Paige, Neville, and the Lucha Dragons made their main roster debut the night after WWE’s biggest show of the year.

While McMahon may not view somebody like Breeze as a top star, all recent reports indicate that he’s looking to debut the Balor Club sooner than later.
