WWE News: Sting And Randy Savage Likely To Be Inducted Into The WWE Hall of Fame in 2015

Bryan Alvarez of F4W Online has reported that it’s likely that Sting and “Macho Man” Randy Savage will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the night before WrestleMania 31 in March.

Sting, who made his WWE debut at last night’s Survivor Series, will likely have his first and only match for WWE at WrestleMania 31 against Triple H. Since WWE owns the rights to everything in WCW history, Sting will clearly be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame based on his accomplishments in WCW.

It’s been speculated that Sting will be the new WWE general manager, and that his match with Triple H at WrestleMania 31 will have the stipulation of if Sting wins, Sting retains control over WWE, and if Triple H wins, Triple H regains control over WWE and Sting must retire from in-ring competition.

Sting, who will turn 56 just a couple of days before WrestleMania 31, is likely only interested in having one match in WWE before hanging up the boots for good. Some fans may not want to see Triple H vs. Sting, however, this was WWE’s backup plan if Undertaker wasn’t in the physical condition to wrestle Sting at WrestleMania 31.

While it’s likely that Sting will headline the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame class, the long overdue inductee “Macho Man” Randy Savage is certainly worthy of co-headlining the 2015 class along with Sting, but due to the unfortunate fact that Savage passed away in the spring of 2011, Sting will stand alone as the headline act of the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame class.

It’s likely that Savage’s brother, Lanny Poffo, will accept the Hall of Fame induction on Savage’s behalf, and popular belief is that Hulk Hogan will be the one to induct “Macho Man” Randy Savage into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Most fans believe that Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage hated each other leading up to Savage’s death, however, Hogan claims that he and Savage made up just a few weeks before Savage’s untimely death.

Earlier this year, there were rumors of The Rock being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015, but as of now, it looks like that’s not going to happen.

There hasn’t been any word on who else will likely be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in March, but it is likely that “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Sting will be the two headliners the night before WrestleMania 31.
