If Kurt Angle’s music ever hit on WWE television, it would immediately become a moment in time where WWE fans would always remember. Think back to Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE Raw in 2012. A lot of fans knew he was coming back, but the reaction he got was off the charts. That was also during the time John Cena finished his first match with the Rock.
Before Cena became too stale for WWE television, his feud with CM Punk helped bring back legitimacy to his character, and WWE fans began to respect him again. Comparing Lesnar’s return to a potential Angle return is accurate.
Will Kurt Angle ever come back to the WWE? The former WWE champion was close last year, but he and WWE officials didn’t finalize the deal. Angle wanted to work part-time and the WWE wanted him to wrestle full-time. His body can’t handle it, especially with him getting surgery soon.
Does that mean Angle doesn’t want to come back? On the contrary, has Kurt Angle addressed that very topic in a Q&A on Facebook when a fan asked who he wants to retire against.
“My retirement match would be Daniel Bryan. He’s so polished in the ring. I just don’t know if it’s possible. But I’d Love it!”
Unfortunately, Kurt Angle is near the end of his wrestling career, and Daniel Bryan fans aren’t sure if he will ever wrestle again. After sustaining a concussion the night after WrestleMania 31 , Bryan’s WWE return remains in question. Head injuries are always curious faults due to their often random way of healing.
Even though pessimism surrounds his future, Bryan’s wife, Brie Bella, spoke with BBC News and offered positive vibes towards the WWE Universe’s way.
“I think a lot of people wrestling for 16 years like him would have given up. But not him. He has such a fight in him so I feel you will see him back in that ring.
“I know my husband’s dreams. Granted, he’s done so much in the wrestling business – and it’s not over forever – but it’s not supposed to end this way.”
A match has the potential to headline a WrestleMania event, to which the WWE fanbase would “mark” out. Anything to see the Olympic Gold Medalist back in a WWE ring is worth it for everyone. Health and contract talks will be the one thing that holds this match back.
