WWE News: Chris Jericho To Appear On ‘RAW’ Tonight?

The last time we saw Chris Jericho on Monday Night RAW was last winter, when Jericho was the host of the December 15 show. The night didn’t end too well for him, as he challenged Paul Heyman to a match, but instead, he ended up being face-to-face with the then WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, who destroyed “Y2J” and left him laying with an F-5.

Now, it appears that Jericho may be making his return to Monday Night RAW , as the show will be taking place in Tampa, Florida, which is where Jericho currently resides. This afternoon on Twitter , a fan asked “Y2J” if he would be returning to WWE television tonight, and the former WWE Champ responded by saying, “You’ll just have to wait and see!”

He has to wait and see! “ @ozzfan1973 : @IAmJericho my son wants to know if you will be at #Raw tonight at Amalie Arena.”

Jericho is being advertised for the October 3 WWE live event at Madison Square Garden, which will air live on the WWE Network. The speculation is that he’ll be taking on Jushin “Thunder” Liger on the show, which should be an incredible match if it happens.

Usually, when Jericho responds to questions regarding his return to WWE television on Twitter, he ends up trolling the fans and convinces them that he’s going to be coming back. However, with him appearing on the WWE Network special in October, he could return tonight to hype up that show. Furthermore, WWE’s ratings on Monday nights have been slipping, so it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to think WWE has called Jericho and asked him to appear on the show in an attempt to boost the ratings for this week.

Last week, Jericho appeared on Huff Post Live to promote the season finale of WWE Tough Enough , and he was asked about returning to WWE television. Jericho said that he’s been close to returning to WWE TV over the last couple of months, but things ended up falling through. Tonight could finally be the night where things didn’t fall through.

If Jericho returns tonight, it may not be a one-off, as his band Fozzy, which has been his primary focus over the last couple of years, isn’t scheduled to go back on tour until the end of October. If Jericho does return, he could be on WWE television until late October or early November.
