There is nobody hotter in the professional wrestling industry than Kevin Owens. Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar are close to the NXT champion, but Owens is gaining traction each week on WWE television. When he first debuted on the WWE scene near the end of 2014, his popularity was off the charts due to Ring of Honor.

He took that overwhelming love from wrestling fans, and it immediately transitioned to the WWE and NXT. After dealing with many injuries in a short amount of time, the WWE received good news. In an earlier report by the Inquisitr , Dolph Ziggler has re-signed with the WWE. It’s rumored to be a multi-year deal with less dates.

To add more good news, Kevin Owens is already close to the main event scene of WWE. His successes aren’t done; not even close. According to Daily Wrestling News , Kevin Owens has supporters behind the scenes, and they are the two WWE officials that call all the shots.

“Both Vince and Triple H are said to be in agreement that NXT Champion Kevin Owens is more than ready, which is why he’s been fast-tracked to the main event on the main roster. It’s worth noting that at Money In the Bank , Vince wanted John Cena protected while Triple H wanted a referee stoppage due to the powerbomb on the apron.”

If Owens would’ve beat Cena at Money in the Bank , the WWE Universe, rather the Internet Wrestling Community, had the ammunition to start calling Kevin Owens the best wrestler of the WWE has. While he has one big win against the U.S. champion, Owens has yet to pin the champion for the title. That might take place at WWE Battleground , but nothing has spoiled that match yet.

A recent Bleacher Report article states that Kevin Owens’ career rides on this match with John Cena. While that is completely irrational, his time on the WWE main roster isn’t even six months old yet. The only time that happened was with Sheamus, which the WWE Universe witnessed. His downfall was hard and fast.

Owens is a future WWE World Heavyweight champion. The match with John Cena at WWE Battleground will give the WWE fans Owens’ immediate future. Aside from that, his WWE career doesn’t depend on the bout with Cena. Knowing both competitors, it will be another five-star match. The WWE knows it will happen. John Cena and Kevin Owens know it will be great. The WWE Universe must know it will be great.
