During tonight’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, it was announced that the WWE Network will host a live edition of the Steve Austin Show , and Austin’s guest will be WWE chairman Vince McMahon.

WWE has been promoting Steve Austin’s podcast off-and-on for the last several weeks, and this could be why. This will be the very first time Austin does a live podcast, and it will be the first time he does a video podcast as well.

Steve Austin’s podcast with Vince McMahon will be the very first “original program” WWE is offering after the free month of November concludes as Austin’s podcast with McMahon will air immediately following RAW on December 1.

Austin’s podcast has been wildly successful for Podcast One and is one of the most popular shows on podcastone.com .

Some of Austin’s notable guests on his podcast have included Jim Ross, Kevin Nash, John Cena, Mick Foley, Eric Bischoff and Daniel Bryan.

Austin has said some very interesting things about WWE in the past, and he has also been very critical of WWE’s current product. It will definitely be interesting to see if he brings any of that up during his podcast with Vince McMahon.

Among the things Austin and McMahon are likely to cover during their conversation is the Austin vs. McMahon rivalry, which was the rivalry that ultimately brought WWE back in the ratings war with then rival promotion WCW.

As of now, Austin isn’t scheduled to appear on the December 1 installment of Monday Night RAW, but it’s likely that since Austin will be there, WWE will find something for him to do on the show.

WWE announcing that the WWE Network would be hosting a live edition of the Steve Austin Show on December 1 was likely greatly overshadowed by the long-awaited WWE debut of Sting, who got involved in tonight’s Survivor Series main event. You can read all about Sting’s WWE debut here .

The December 1 episode of WWE Monday Night RAW goes live at 8 p.m. eastern time on the USA Network and will take place from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
