Witney Carson may be celebrating her engagement to her long-time boyfriend, and could be thinking about wedding planning. But Witney’s mind may not be on the competition — at least if you ask some viewers. This week, Carson and the other dancers had to switch celebrities, and she was paired with Nick Carter. While the duo seemed like the perfect match on paper, it sounds like things didn’t work out so well.
While Witney Carson and Nick scored 35 out of 40, some viewers were not pleased with the dance. And it wasn’t so much on the performance, including Nick’s dancing skills, but more on Carson’s choreography.
According to a new Instagram post, Witney Carson is now being criticized for her dance. Fans think that her routines and her choreography isn’t new and refreshing. But viewers were just as hard on Nick and his attitude when he was receiving his scores. Even though they actually did quite well, Nick wasn’t too pleased with the judges’ comments and his facial expression revealed it all.
“Had an absolute blast dancing with you this past week, Nick Carter! You have incredible work ethic and you’re an even better person! & for the record, I really am a BSB fan #SwitchUpWeek #DWTS,” Carson revealed on Instagram, pointing out that she had tons of fun with Nick, but viewers had plenty to say about the pairing and it wasn’t all pretty.
“He actually came off rude during his interview about how you dont care about the partner switch. But the dance turned out good :)” one viewer pointed out on Witney Carson’s Instagram post, while another commented, “I hated the edit they did!! I’m sure you two are great friends and had a blast together! Your dance was amazing! And you are the most talented choreographer!! They need to give you more credit!”
But there were a few people who felt that Witney was lacking creativity when it comes to her routines. Witney has been on the show for quite some time, and she has transformed some people into true dancers. But viewers who have followed Carson throughout the show believe that she needs to change things up.
“Actually. I do believe it’s called editing. I understand Nick. I feel like Witney has used her old choreography with Alfonso over and over again with some minor tweaks. Nick probably got frustrated cause he saw that she is too relaxed about this whole thing,” one person pointed out, adding, “She hasnt been strict with Carlos and that showed with Lindsay. She brought new, creative choreography and taught him about posture in a couple of days and we FINALLY saw his true potential. The guy is a great dancer and has probably only danced with his own abilities.”
The viewer then questioned how Carson’s former partners, including Chris Soules , would have done in the competition if they had been given different partners. Clearly, some Dancing With The Stars viewers are not too pleased with Carson’s performances. One could argue that Carson has done quite a bit for her dance partners in the past. She turned Chris Soules into a strong competitor after being the underdog for the first couple of weeks earlier this year. Many thought that Soules would be sent home early, but he ended up going far in the competition, beating out several celebrities. And one can imagine that Carson’s guidance and teachings had everything to do with Chris going so far in the competition.
