Are Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna planning to continue the Kardashian family tradition by choosing a first name beginning with the letter “K” for their new baby?
While Rob and Blac’s child will be the only Kardashian offspring to bear the Kardashian name, a source is now revealing that Rob isn’t actually looking to carry on his family’s initial tradition that ensured his sisters, Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall, and Kylie all share names beginning with a “K.”
An insider close to the Kardashian family recently revealed to Hollywood Life that Rob is “adamant” he doesn’t want to continue the family tradition and has decided that he and his fiancée will not be giving their baby a name beginning with the initial.
“Rob is adamant that he doesn’t want a name beginning with the letter ‘K’ for his child,” an inside source recently told the site of Rob and Blac’s baby name.
While the couple, who only announced their romance at the beginning of this year, haven’t officially revealed what names they’re considering for their bundle of joy, Hollywood Life’s insider claimed that Kardashian and Chyna “have been discussing some ideas” when it comes to what they’ll name the baby and noted that “Rob has said he doesn’t want to go down his traditional family path.”
But while an insider is noting that Kardashian appears to be pulling away from his famous family’s traditions when it comes to opting to ditch the “K” initial, Hollywood Life alleged earlier this month that if his and Blac’s baby is a boy, they already have a very special name in mind.

A source told the site that Rob is secretly crossing his fingers that his and Chyna’s firstborn is a boy so that he can continue on the Robert Kardashian family name in honor of his late father, who passed away in 2003.
“Rob has always said he wants his firstborn to be a boy and wants to name him Robert Kardashian after his dad,” a source close to the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star told the site of Kardashian’s baby plans. “He knows this would be the ultimate tribute to his father, who meant the world to him. It also means his son, if he does indeed have a son, would carry on the family name.”
E! Online also reported that Kardashian and Chyna are currently discussing baby names for their bundle of joy, speculating that Rob and Blac are actually looking to name the child after Robert Kardashian even if their baby is a girl.

The site claimed that Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian have “been considering different plays on Robert for the baby’s name” depending on the baby’s gender.
“If it’s a boy, Robert or Rob is an obvious top choice, but if it’s a girl… Rob and Blac think Robbie could be cute,” E! News reported of how Rob is planning to honor his later father.
A source also noted to the site that Chyna and Kardashian are weighing up quite a few options when it comes to baby names, but alleged that their search will likely be cut down as he and Blac already know whether they’re having a boy or girl.
An insider close to the couple told E! News last week that Blac and Rob “do know the sex of their baby and will reveal it soon enough,” though it’s thought that they’ll keep their chosen name a secret for a little longer.
