RHONJ star Teresa Giudice may be incarcerated, but luckily for the longtime reality star, that won’t get in the way of a happy Mother’s Day. On May 8, a source told E! News that the RHONJ star’s four daughters were planning to visit her on Mother’s Day at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, where she is currently serving a 15-month term for charges of bank and wire fraud.
“She’s really looking forward to it.”
Giudice and her husband of 15 years, Joe Giudice, appeared in front of a judge in October of last year, where the RHONJ star was dealt her 15-month sentence, and he was dealt a 41-month term.
As for whether or not Joe would participate in the visit, the site said it was “unclear.” Because Joe was recently stripped of his driver’s license, he is no longer able to take his children to and from school, or to and from visits. So, in recent weeks, it has likely been the RHONJ star’s mom who has been commuting from New Jersey to Connecticut.
In an interview weeks ago, the RHONJ star’s attorney confirmed that Giudice is doing the best she can, given her current situation.
“As far as prison goes, she’s maintaining,” James J. Leonard revealed to E! News last month.
“She’s adjusted well, she has a routine and she just takes it one day at a time. With the weather breaking, she’s spending more time outside. There is a track so she’s been walking and running on the track a lot.”
“At home, Joe and the girls are gearing up for summer. They’ll be out of school and will have their activities.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, the RHONJ star was previously believed to be staying in prison until early next year. However, in an April interview with Real Mr. Housewife , a source claimed her release date was currently set for December 23, 2015.
“Teresa’s release date is December 23rd and she will be home that day. She wanted to be home for Christmas, and she will be home then.”
After her hearing, the RHONJ star was allowed to remain a free woman for nearly three months before beginning her sentence. This, the judge alleged, was to allow the RHONJ star to spend the holidays with her four daughters.
No word yet on an exact date for when the RHONJ star’s husband will begin his 41-month sentence.
