Vicki Gunvalson announced that she was splitting from Brooks Ayers earlier this summer. The relationship had been through some hard times, and Vicki was stressed out over how her co-stars were handling everything. Ayers had been dealing with cancer and he was going to treatment, but many of the ladies were questioning his cancer diagnosis. They did this simply because he wasn’t fighting as much for his life as other cancer patients.
Vicki Gunvalson didn’t quite provide the details in regards to their split, but she ended the relationship on a happy note. Clearly, Gunvalson is heartbroken because she truly loved Brooks. However, it wasn’t a healthy relationship anymore. But just because they have split doesn’t mean they are keeping their distance from one another.
According to a new Radar Online report, Vicki Gunvalson is supposedly still talking to Ayers after they split. While Vicki may not have any immediately plans of getting back with him, they are still talking.
“Vicki has told her friends that the death of her mother and the split with Brooks are the hardest things she has ever gone through,” a friend has revealed about the couple, adding, “The fact that they both happened in the same year makes it that much worse for her. Vicki has had to unfortunately deal with these two really horrible things in her life happening in front of the cameras and that has made it even tougher on her.”
It is possible that Vicki Gunvalson is keeping all lines of communication open with Brooks, just in case something happens with his illness. Plus, the two were good friends so she may want to be there for him as he continues to fight.
“Vicki has really thick skin though and she is not going to let anyone bring her down for long,” the source adds about Gunvalson’s drama with Meghan King Edmonds, adding about Ayers, “They still communicate with each other and it is really hard on the both of them. But they know in their hearts that this separation needed to happen. The way things were going on towards the end with how others were reacting to his battle with cancer just put an incredibly difficult strain on their relationship towards the end.”
Gunvalson ‘s daughter Briana may be thrilled about the split. She has never been a big fan of Brooks.
