The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder is so happily in love with new girlfriend, Nikki Reed, that he believes she’s “the one.” Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are moving very fast in their relationship, and that The Vampire Diaries hunk has a good feeling about where their relationship is going, despite still working closely with his ex-girlfriend, Nina Dobrev.
According to Hollywood Life sources, Ian Somerhalder thinks Nikki Reed is the one , which isn’t good news for fans who were hoping to see the actor reunite with his Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev.
“His relationship with Nina was what it was — it lasted the amount of time it was meant to last — but with Nikki, he feels like he has found the one. Ian is in love with Nikki and the life they have, and he wants to share his love because he is not ashamed of the greatness that his life is experiencing with her in it.”
Of course, not everyone is happy about Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed’s relationship. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Nina Dobrev is furious that Nikki has been hanging around The Vampire Diaries set, and showing off massive PDA with Ian right in front of her.
The on set feud allegedly got so bad at one point that both Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev were considering leaving The Vampire Diaries after season 6, which is currently airing on The CW.
“[The relationship] comes off and looks like he is doing it to mess with Nina’s head, it’s not the case. He is 100 percent all in with Nikki and Nina is just an afterthought. He wants the world to know Nikki is his girl and they are having a great time. There is no other drama-filled reason attached to it.”
Meanwhile, Nina Dobrev has reportedly been leaning on her best friend, Jessica Szhor, who has been put in an awkward position, as she’s close friends with Nikki Reed as well.
“Jessica and Nina are together nonstop lately; they’re getting super close. She’s friends with Nikki too so she’s trying not to take sides. She’s working on getting them to talk things out and make up but she’s not pushing; she’s definitely on Team Nina if it came down to that.”
It’s nice that Nina Dobrev has someone to lean on, but it seems Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed’s relationship is actually hurting the people around them. Perhaps all parties involved should sit down and try to resolve all the issues before friendships and/or jobs are lost over the drama.
