One USPS worker is in hot water after footage surfaced of her throwing a customer’s package. Needless to say, the customer, Pedro Gonzales, was furious. He decided to take matters into his own hands and share the disheartening experience with the world. Now, the video has gone viral on YouTube .
According to the description of the video, the incident occurred on Sunday, March 22. The one-minute video shows the USPS worker emerging from the vehicle. She jogs toward the porch of the home. She can be seen stopping and tossing the package several feet onto the porch. Then, she proceeds to jog back to the door of the mail truck, but instead of getting back into the truck, she jogs all the way around it before hopping in and driving off. Ironically, the package contained more surveillance cameras and movies the customer purchased from Amazon. Of course, the cameras were damaged as a result of the worker’s careless actions.
“Watch as a USPS worker throws my packages unto my front porch and then takes a lap around her vehicle,” the YouTube video description said. “This occurred at approximately 10:46am on Sunday, March 22, 2015. What was in the packages? More surveillance cameras.”
The video, which was uploaded almost a week ago, has received more than 100,000 views. Of course, many viewers voiced their concerns about the postal worker’s lack of regard for customer packages, as this isn’t the first incident of its kind. During a recent interview with KOCO-TV, Gonzales also voiced his frustrations .
“I’ve never seen this person before, but usually we get really good service. Seeing someone toss my packages really gets on my nerves.”
USPS officials reportedly visited Gonzales and apologized on behalf of the careless worker. United States Postal Service representative Arlene Sanchez recently released a public statement about the incident.
“We take great pride in delivering the mail to the American public. That’s what we do. We do it every day,” Sanchez said.
Amazon also agreed to give him a 20 percent discount on his next purchase.
