Two men were arrested for armed robbery by University of Central Florida police Sunday, and a third was captured and identified off-campus.
Dontae Wallock and Brandon Simeon were among three who robbed a Wing Zone delivery man on campus a little after midnight.
According to reports, the victim had been on a food delivery at the UCF Towers on campus when he saw one of the men going through his car. In the process of the robbery, the robbers displayed a gun. According to FOX Orlando , the suspects took the delivery man’s wallet and drove off. The victim, a UCF student, was able to provide investigators with a good description of the getaway vehicle.
The officers apparently spotted the getaway vehicle and chased them discretely until they stopped at an off-campus apartment complex. None of the robbers have any connection to the University of Central Florida, according to WESH.com .
Wallock and Simeon have been charged with armed robbery, armed vehicle burglary and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony. Simeon is also accused of possession of a firearm with the serial number removed. Wallock has been released from jail on bond.
Justin McCarey, fellow student, said
“There are always cops around here [on campus], so someone would have to be real bold to do that.”
Charquoya Smith, another student of UCF, added:
“This is crazy. It’s a scary thing to think about. There’s still one of those guys roaming around here, and they don’t even know who it is? What if he comes to attack again?”
